Alright, so you wanna know ’bout this Cinnabar Chardonnay, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, I ain’t no fancy wine expert, but I know what I like and what tastes good. This here wine, they say it’s from a place called Monterey, somewhere out in California. I ain’t never been there, but they say it’s by the ocean, where it’s cool and foggy.
Now, this Chardonnay, it’s a white wine. You know, the kind that ain’t red like that beet juice your grandpa used to drink. It’s made from grapes, and they say these grapes are special. They grow ’em just right so they ain’t too sweet and ain’t too sour. Just like a good apple pie, you know? Not too much sugar, not too much tang.
They told me this wine, it smells like… well, like fruits. Apples and… some other fancy fruits I can’t even pronounce. Stone fruit, they call it. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a rock garden to me! And they say you can smell somethin’ called tangerine and grapefruit too. Sounds like a whole fruit salad in a glass!

I tried it once, this Cinnabar Chardonnay. Poured myself a little glass, you know, just to see what all the fuss was about. And I gotta say, it weren’t bad. Somethin’ ’bout the year the grapes was grown, I think. Anyway, they say this Cinnabar Chardonnay, they make it every year, and each year it’s a little different. Like people, I guess. We all change a little bit as we get older, right?
Now, I ain’t gonna lie to ya, this wine ain’t cheap. Not like that jug wine you get down at the corner store. This stuff, it costs a pretty penny. But I reckon it’s worth it, if you like good wine. It’s like buyin’ a good pair of shoes, you know? You spend a little more upfront, but they last longer and they feel better on your feet. And this wine, it sure does feel good goin’ down.
They told me this Chardonnay, it’s got a citrusy smell to it. You know, like oranges and lemons. And it’s got a fruity taste, too. But it ain’t all sweet and sugary. It’s got a little bit of somethin’ else, somethin’… I don’t know how to describe it. It’s just… good. It makes you wanna sit back and relax, you know? Like when you’re sittin’ on the porch swing on a summer evening, watchin’ the fireflies and listenin’ to the crickets. That’s what this wine makes me think of.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good white wine, and you don’t mind spendin’ a little extra, I reckon you could do worse than this Cinnabar Chardonnay. It ain’t nothin’ fancy, but it’s good. It’s the kind of wine you can drink with friends, or you can drink by yourself, just sittin’ there thinkin’. And sometimes, that’s all you need, you know? A good glass of wine and a little bit of peace and quiet.
And you know, some folks, they talk about hints of caramel or jasmine in the older versions. I never got any of that, myself. Tasted like wine to me. Good wine, mind you, but still wine. But maybe that’s just my old taste buds not workin’ so good no more. Anyways, it’s a good drink, this Cinnabar. You should try it sometime.
