Well, let me tell ya, 1859, that was a Goat year, you see. Them Chinese, they got these animal signs, twelve of ‘em, and each one’s got its own thing goin’ on. Like, if you’re born in Goat year, you’re a Goat, that’s how it is. They say it tells you what kind of person you are, you know?
Now, I ain’t no scholar, but I heard tell about these things. Goat year, 1859. That’s a long time ago, ain’t it? Folks back then, they probably didn’t even worry about all this zodiac stuff like they do now. But, it’s interesting, I guess.
They say the Goat, well, they ain’t too good with the Ox, the Tiger, and the Dog. Too much head-buttin’, you know? Always arguin’, never gettin’ nowhere. So, if you’re a Goat, you best stay away from them other critters, that’s what they say.
- Goat ain’t good with Ox.
- Goat ain’t good with Tiger.
- Goat ain’t good with Dog.
But there’s other animals too, like the Rabbit. Them Rabbits, they’re lucky, real lucky. Peaceful like, don’t like fightin’. Got good taste, they do. And smart too, I reckon. Heard tell of this fella, Albert Einstein, born in Rabbit year, real brainy guy.
And the Pig, well, he’s the last one. But that don’t mean nothin’. They say there was a race, and the Pig, he showed up late, but he showed up. That’s what matters, I guess. Every animal’s got its place, just like us folks.
So, 1859 was the Goat year. Started on February 3rd, if you wanna get all fancy about it. But to me, it’s just another year, you know? Folks was born, folks died, same as any other year. But them Chinese, they like to keep track of these things, so we might as well listen, right?
This whole Chinese zodiac thing, it goes way back. Years and years, they been doin’ this. From 1900 all the way to 2031, they got it all figured out. Every year, a different animal. Metal, water, wood, fire, all that stuff. It’s a whole system, I tell ya. Too complicated for me, but some folks, they eat it up.
Now, you can find all this stuff on the internet, they call it. Wisdom Portal, they say. You can look up any year, see what animal it was. But me? I just remember what my grandma told me. That’s good enough for me.
So, 1859, Goat year. Remember that. And if you’re a Goat, well, try to get along with them Oxen and Tigers and Dogs, will ya? Life’s too short for arguin’. That’s what I say, anyway.
Them Chinese, they believe these animals got special meanings, you know? Like, some are lucky, some are not so lucky. But it ain’t that simple, see? It’s all mixed up together. Good and bad, happy and sad, that’s just life. And this zodiac, well, it’s just a way of lookin’ at it, I reckon.
So next time you hear someone talkin’ about the Chinese zodiac, you can tell ‘em, “Hey, I know about 1859! It was the year of the Goat!” Maybe they’ll be impressed, maybe they won’t. But you’ll know, and that’s all that matters. Ain’t that right?
