Cinnabar Saratoga: Where Science Meets Natures Magic in Wine

Cinnabar Saratoga: Where Science Meets Natures Magic in Wine

Alright, let’s talk about this Cinnabar Saratoga place, whatever it is. Sounds fancy, like somethin’ them city folks would go to.

Cinnabar Saratoga: Where Science Meets Natures Magic in Wine

What is this Cinnabar Saratoga anyway? From what I gather, it’s one of them wineries, you know, where they make that grape juice that gets you all tipsy. They say it’s in Saratoga, which I reckon is a place, probably near some big city. And this Cinnabar, well, it’s the name, I guess. Like my old dog, we called him Spot ’cause he had spots. Makes sense, right?

They talk about it bein’ a “family owned winery,” which means, I figure, it ain’t one of them big ol’ companies runnin’ things. Just a family, like us, tryin’ to make a livin’. They say they make wine like it’s magic, mixin’ science and nature. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but hey, what do I know? I just make apple pie, and that ain’t got no science in it, just good ol’ apples and sugar.

  • Tastin’ Room: They got this place where you can go and try their wines. They call it a “tasting room,” like it’s somethin’ special. I bet it’s just a room with some tables and chairs and a bunch of bottles. You gotta call ahead though, make a “table bookin’,” like you’re goin’ to some fancy restaurant. They got a menu too, I hear, tellin’ you what kinda wines they got and how much they cost. Probably cost a pretty penny, I bet.
  • Where is it?: Well, they say it’s in Saratoga, on Big Basin Way. That don’t mean nothin’ to me. They also say it’s near the Santa Cruz Mountains. Mountains are pretty, I guess, but I prefer my flat land where I can see my chickens runnin’ around.
  • When you can go: They ain’t open all the time, you know. Closed on Mondays, mostly, ‘cept for when they feel like openin’, like on them holidays. So, you gotta check before you go traipsin’ all the way over there. Don’t wanna get there and find the doors locked, now, do ya? That’d be a waste of good gas money. And gas ain’t cheap these days, let me tell ya.

They talk about it bein’ a “lively” tastin’ room. Lively, huh? I reckon that means it’s noisy and full of people talkin’ and laughin’. Probably got music playin’ too. Not my cup of tea, I like things quiet and peaceful. But to each their own, I always say.

And this Saratoga Village, they call it “historic.” Historic just means old, far as I can tell. Like my old rocking chair, it’s historic too, been in the family for generations. Probably squeaks just as much as that Saratoga Village, if villages could squeak, that is.

They also say this Saratoga is the “gateway to the Santa Cruz Mountains.” Gateway? What’s that supposed to mean? Like a big ol’ door? I reckon it just means it’s near the mountains. They use all sorts of fancy words, these city folk.

So, what’s the big deal about this Cinnabar Saratoga? Well, I guess it’s a place to go if you like wine and you got some extra cash to spend. It ain’t for the likes of me, that’s for sure. I’ll stick to my homemade apple pie and my porch swing. But if you’re into that kinda thing, I guess it’s worth a visit. Just remember to book your table and check the hours, so you ain’t wastin’ your time. And don’t forget your wallet, ‘cause I bet those wines ain’t cheap.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed my chickens. They’re probably gettin’ restless, and a hungry chicken is a noisy chicken, let me tell ya.

In short, Cinnabar Saratoga is a family owned winery that has a lively tasting room in Saratoga, California. You can try their wines, but you need to make a reservation and it’s probably expensive. It’s located in a historic village and near some mountains. They are not open every day so check their website for opening days and hours. That’s all I know. Simple as that.
