Saratogas Cinnabar Winery: Best Live Music in the Bay Area

Alright, let’s talk about this Cinnabar Winery Saratoga place, ya know? I ain’t no fancy wine expert, but I can tell ya what I heard and what I think.

Saratogas Cinnabar Winery: Best Live Music in the Bay Area

So, this Cinnabar, it’s a family thing, they say. They make wine, like them old-timey magic makers, mixin’ stuff up and hopin’ it turns out good. They call it “alchemy,” sounds right fancy, don’t it? They’re in Saratoga, that’s a place up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Pretty place, I hear, lots of trees and hills. It’s in that old Saratoga Village, they call it the “gateway” to the mountains. Sounds like a good spot to me, easy to get to and probably pretty scenery while you’re sippin’ your wine.

Now, they got this tastin’ room, that’s where you go to try the wine. They ain’t open all the time, mind you. You gotta go on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, from noon to almost six in the evening. Or you can go Friday or Saturday, same time, just open a little later, till almost seven. Mondays they’re closed, unless it’s one of them holidays, then maybe they’re open, you gotta check. I ain’t got the time to keep track of all that, but if you’re plannin’ a visit, you best make sure they’re open before you go traipsin’ all the way up there.

They got this place in Saratoga County too, different from the Santa Cruz one, I think. It’s just called “The Saratoga Winery”. Some new folks, Annie and Andrew Brill, they bought it. They’re all excited about it, or so I heard. Seems like a popular spot, they got food and wine, and they do events too. People like goin’ there, especially for the music. They even won some award, best place for live music in the Bay Area, can you believe it? So, if you’re lookin’ for a good time, maybe that’s a place to check out too.

  • Cinnabar Winery: Family-owned, makes wine like “alchemy,” in Saratoga Village, Santa Cruz Mountains.
  • Tasting Room Hours: Tuesday-Thursday 12-5:45pm, Friday-Saturday 12-6:45pm, Closed Mondays (except some holidays).
  • The Saratoga Winery: Different place, in Saratoga County, new owners (Annie and Andrew Brill), food, wine, events, and live music. Voted best place for live music.

Now, I ain’t been to either of these places myself, but from what I gather, they’re both pretty good. If you like wine, or if you just like a nice place to hang out, you might wanna give ’em a try. The Cinnabar place, that sounds more like a fancy wine experience, ya know? The Saratoga Winery, that sounds like a fun place to go with friends, listen to some music, and have a good time. Either way, sounds like Saratoga’s the place to be if you’re lookin’ for some wine and good company.

I heard tell the Cinnabar wine is somethin’ special, but like I said, I ain’t no expert. They grow their own grapes, I reckon, and they take real pride in what they do. It ain’t just about makin’ wine, it’s about makin’ somethin’ good, somethin’ you can enjoy and appreciate. That’s what I like to hear, anyway. Too many things these days are just slapped together, nobody cares anymore. But these folks, they seem like they care. And that counts for somethin’, don’t it?

So, there you have it. Cinnabar Winery Saratoga, and that other Saratoga Winery too. Two different places, both in Saratoga, both with wine, but different vibes, ya know? You gotta figure out what you’re lookin’ for, and then go check ’em out. And if you do go, tell ’em that old lady sent ya, they won’t know who you’re talkin’ about, but that’s alright. Just have yourself a good time, that’s all that matters.

And remember, drink responsibly, ya hear? Don’t go gettin’ yourself into trouble. Wine’s supposed to be enjoyed, not abused. That’s what my grandma used to say, and she was a smart woman. So, listen to her, and listen to me, and you’ll be just fine.

One more thing, if you’re goin’ up to the mountains, bring a sweater. It can get chilly up there, even in the summer. And wear comfortable shoes, ’cause you might be doin’ some walkin’. And don’t forget your wallet, ’cause that wine ain’t free. Alright, I think that’s about all I got to say. Go on now, and have yourself a good time. And if you find a good wine, send me a bottle, will ya?
